Hi. My name is Geoff Gleason and I'm the pastor of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church. I am very thankful that you have taken the time to visit Cliffwood's website. I trust you will find all the information you might need, but if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at the church. I would be happy to answer any questions you might still have. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
First, a little personal history. I am the 2nd of Ron and Sally Gleason's 6 children. I was born in Knoxville, TN, and spent the first 20 years of my life moving from place to place in Europe and North America. Several years after my parents landed in Toronto, Canada, I met my bride, Lisa. We have been married since 1992 and have been blessed with eleven wonderful children and five grand-children. God's call to pastoral ministry began with a personal sense of responsibility in my own life when I was in my early twenties. In May 2011, I finally finished my seminary education at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. So more than a decade after my call to the ministry began, that call was confirmed by the church in November 2011 , being called to serve by my Lord Jesus Christ at Cliffwood Presbyterian Church.
As pastor I seek to teach God's people from His Word. I believe the Bible's pages teach us in two foundational categories, well summarized for us in question and answer 3 of the Westminster Shorter Catechism: what we are to believe concerning God, and what duty God requires of us. I invite you to come join us at Cliffwood and participate in God's work in that local congregation.
